Piers Fallowfield-Cooper

Piers began his career in the financial markets of the City of London. After rapid promotion, he went to Chicago to learn about the futures and commodity markets and then returned to London to establish a business unit in this arena. After working with a major US bond house, Piers moved into general management with a focus on the development of global sales and marketing strategies. He worked on projects in Europe, the Middle-East and Asia-Pacific. He then became President and later Chairman of the International Division of Oster Communications Inc., best known for its FutureSource real-time market data service and the Oster-Dow Jones News services. Piers was instrumental in taking the business out of its traditional heartland in the Midwestern US, opening operations around the world. Piers was also Chairman and a founder of Itsmobile, a Dublin based company that became a leading player in the mobile payment arena. He sat on the advisory board of Finlab Geneva and is currently Chairman of Greycon, a company providing supply chain management optimization software to the paper industry. Piers believes that coaching and mentoring senior executives requires a special approach containing that ‘something extra’ to make a significant difference to the results. With over 20 years experience in senior management, Piers understands the pressures and challenges that confront the busy executive. A great believer in the use of all the human ‘talents’, he was interviewed by the FT on the use of intuition in business and later, in the FT featured as an example of an inspiring leader with an holistic approach to business.
