Phil Gross

Phil began his career with GE Silicones in 1963 after obtaining Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Chemical Engineering from RPI and MIT. He progressed through a variety of manufacturing and General Management positions at Silicones and GE Lighting and was appointed Vice President and GM at Noryl Products in 1982. He managed the Plastics Ventures Division in 1986 and returned to GE Silicones as Vice President/GM in 1987. In 1990 he joined Warner-Lambert Company as Vice President and President of Novon Products, a new venture in degradable polymers. In 1994, he was appointed Vice President Strategic Management Processes and led a major change effort at Warner-Lambert. He retired in June 2000 as Sr. Vice President, Strategic Management Processes. His current interests include an active board role in several startup companies, volunteer management at United Way of Morris County (NJ) where is Chairman Emeritus, and volunteer flying for patients requiring medical treatment through the Angel Flight network. For the past several years as a faculty member of Merryck and Co., he has mentored a number of CEO’s utilizing his extensive management background to support their efforts with strategic, organizational and execution issues. His background in manufacturing, product development and marketing in industrial and consumer businesses together with his years of corporate management experience has enabled him to quickly provide seasoned relevant advice in a variety of business settings. Phil and his wife Laurie have 4 grown children, seven grandchildren and reside in Florida, New Jersey, and Lake George, NY. He is an instrument rated Commercial Pilot.
