The Business Leaders Forum, Merryck & Co’s annual signature event , normally held in May, will in 2009 be held in February, because the BLF theme of ‘Leadership Mastery in Turbulent Times’, a highly relevant topic in today’s economic climate cannot wait until next May. Business Leaders everywhere are struggling with issues and challenges they have never had to deal with before and Merryck & Co. and our sponsorship partners PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) want to offer business leaders the peer networking and expert support they need to deal with the current crisis.
Places will be strictly limited to 50 Business Leader delegates. PricewaterhouseCoopers & Merryck & Co. will each be bringing 25 of their premier global clients which will afford superb networking opportunities.
Business leaders are facing the almost overwhelming task of restoring confidence and respect in leadership and business. They are required to guide organisations through times of turbulence and uncertainty, to show the way forward and to set an example. And all this in the face of a recessionary global economy, tough economic and political circumstances.
This year’s BLF will focus on the needs of the leaders as individuals rather than on the needs of their organizations. All too often, and especially in a meltdown, people forget that the job at the top is incredibly tough and unbelievably lonely. Our BLF will focus on helping support the very people that so many of the world’s population ultimately depend on to see us all through the meltdown and turmoil to the green grass of better times ahead. The task of this years’ BLF is to provide those individual leaders with the support and help through the insights of our speakers and their fellow peers to make it safely through the storm, personally and professionally.
We have a programme of excellent speakers from around the world, leading experts in their field who will all be available throughout the entire event.
